My neighbor had these cattle, they are wonderful, very quite, calm cows, bulls just stand around, very winter hardy, double coated, low in colesteral, easy keepers. Good luck to you all, but you know you all can`t win don`t ya. > Thanks Marc

Thanks~ I entered! I actually recently solved my bull problem by borrowing a belted galloway bull. He's real pretty! I bought a heifer from the gentleman who loaned me the bull too~ she is not as well marked as the bull but she should be bred by that bull so hopefully will get a well marked calf off her and some interesting beef/dairy crosses off my other two heifers. Would be nice to have a registered belted heifer...crossing my fingers! But still happy with my borrowed and not papered bull....he's pretty and had that magic pricetag....free if I feed him for a couple months!

Belties

Yes, they are absolutely wonderful cows. We have 6 registered heifers and a beltie/lowline cross bull for breeding. We're picking up 3 more 4 year old heifers in a couple of weeks. They are extremely hardy...though we take very good care of them with shelter, etc. Their very low keyed with wonderful personalities....just watch out when they calve. We had our first calf about 4 months ago. I had heard that you'd better steer clear for at least the first several weeks as the heifers are extremely protective. As luck would have it, Twizzler pushed her calf through the electric fence and couldn't get to her. So I had the honor of picking it up to return it to her. Thankfully I didn't get stomped, lol.
Anyway, I highly recommend them.

Bruce

I recently bought a Buelingo heifer calf. She's gorgeous. Not tame yet, but this way I figure all the neighbors will know whose it is if they get out.
