Opinions on these heifers - possible purchases

This mid mini Heifer is for sale for $500 - she is 7 weeks old.

Does she look like she will actually be that much smaller than a reg. sized Jersey?

He also has a 10 month old Jersey heifer. She is $500, too. They are out of his two cows he bought at the Ohio Dairy Expo. He said he hasn't done the paperwork on the dam, but she can probably be registered because the dam can be and the sire is, but who knows.
I do not like that she has horns, and she isn't as nice, IMO, as my heifer, but I do like her. She is likely the most sensible. Any feedback on her?

We were thinking about a reg. Dutch Belted who is under 6 weeks, I believe, for $500. . .my husband likes the breed, but I am very partial to Jerseys. . .

Can't tell anything about how big the yound heifer might end up being. With all the mini, mid-minis, and whatnot, a jersey is going to be a jersey simply put.

As for the 10 month old, those horns are not too big to come off. As far as the registration; it is possible to register her as an OA (orginal animal) provided you have registration on the sire. The animal is then bred up to eventually attain (full blood) after a few generations. It's part of the Jersey association's breed-up program. There are too many details to share about it but you can read up on it on the National Jersey website.

I like the heifer in the second pic.
