22 month old dexter bull

I have a 22 month old Dexter bull that has been on good grass pastures with little supplementation other than loose minerals, salt, and some corn and apples occasionally. We have decided to either sell him as a bull or make a date to send him to freezer camp. He has never bred anything if that makes a diff. Just curious if you think he will make good beef or better to sell and buy my beef? Also...any ideas what a typical almost 2yr old dexter might weigh? My guess is only about 600 lbs but I am hoping that sounds too low.
Thanks for any advice you might be able to give me (other than YOU SHOULD HAVE BANDED HIM AT BIRTH). I will know better next time to band ASAP.

He should make great beef, I never band any of my beef animals (Dexters) even the ones that are with cows that have gone to the butcher have tasted great. I have 2 entire bulls going to the butcher in Nov. I'm guessing they should weigh about 750-800 and they will also be 22 months.
I may have to band in the future as I'm running out of pastures to keep them seperate, but if you have the room and want to, there is nothing wrong with keeping them entire.

M88A1, the original post is from October 2010. I think that beef is all gone by now, LOL!

It's ok. I like aged beef and aged posts. Some never go bad.

I wish some of my posts would improve with age or go away.
