Question Is this normal?

Cow calved sept 24th. Had the vet out later that day to check her and he said she looked fine. Today(3 days later) it looks like she passed some tissue and she is laying with a small pool of blood behind her. Is is normal for them to continue to bleed for this long? She appears fine, chewing her cud.

thanks in advance, stacey

She is probably just cleaning out. If she is eating good and the discharge is not smelly or stinking, then she is probably OK.

Like linn said, sounds normal as long as there is no yucky smell to it.
