Mini Jerseys

Does anyone know of a mini jersey breeder who lives in the eastern half of the country? I'm near Cincinnati and would really like to buy one in the spring... Does anyone know how much milk they give?

Isn't "Mini Jersey" a little redundant? Wouldn't that be a Toggenburg?

Srry, I can't help you with a source. Good luck with your search.

Be prepared for being put on a waiting list. Sometimes 3, but up to 5 years!
They are getting more popular, but still hard to come by. And they aren't cheap!

Some give 2 gallons a day, and some 6. Depends on genetics.

Yes, you will probably be put on a LONG waiting list - ugh. I wanted a mini, but I couldn't seem to wait on one for 3-4 years and pay $3k to 5k.
I bought a reg. full sized. I might breed her to a mini bull.

The full sized crossed with mini is a good sized family cow. (easy on the feed trough, good on the milk bucket!)

I found a 'technically full sized' jersey who is only 44" at the hip - being kicked off an organic dairy because she was too small for the equipment! She's absolutely perfect for our family - and a bargain, too - cost us $800 for a certified organic cow in milk. Love her!
