Feeding BOSS to cattle

Does anyone here feed BOSS mixed in with their feed to their cattle? I am wondering if it would be worth it?

In the past I mixed my own feed for the milk cow with barley, oats, BOSS and molasses along with mineral and kelp. She did well on it, but I doubt if I was saving any money, probably the opposite.

a 38% protein pellet is cheaper and has more available protein.
There is a lot of shell to work through with BOSS that really cuts down on its protein rating.
We do feed our cows the goat mix which has BOSS in it.
Just haven't bothered to figure a separate ration for them.
If I was really worried about costs with the cows I would not bother with BOSS.

I used to feed BOSS as part of the ration, but you can find cheaper protein sources if you're trying to save $$.
