I am just beside myself....

my sweetie pie of a Dh just bought me a mini jersey! Woot! I casually mentioned to him that I would like one so that I wouldn't have to drive to PA so often (to buy milk) and maybe I might have sent him an ad that I saw, but....We'll be picking her up in Oct. and I will post pics. I am SO excited!

Ps: I'm in Oh, close to Pa. When you drive to Pa to get Milk, does that mean they can legally sell raw milk there? (I'd like some!)

It is legal to sell raw milk in PA, but illegal to bring raw milk across State lines...so basically... shhhhh...
Definitely not legal here in Ohio. Though some do herdshares.

Especially for personal use.
The only people allowed to transport raw milk across State lines are the licensed milk haulers. That is because the milk is going directly to be processed in a licensed facility.
Certainly doesn't stop people, but it is something to keep in mind.
Meaning, better if your supplier doesn't know. So only one of you is breaking the law.

Congrats on the MiniJersey.
Jerseys are a wonderful breed.

thanks for letting me know that. Here I always stress to the kiddos that we need to obey the law and their own dear mother is a milk trafficker....
