A whole bunch of photos

We were up to check on the one group of cows yesterday, on the way to a funeral. Here are a bunch of photos I took.

All these calves are sired by our Hereford bull
101, Hereford x RA, 8 year old

Well, we bring them home here, and winter where there is some windbreak for them to go into at night or when it is really nasty, but they do stay out on the plains.

GV = Gelbvieh
BA = Black Angus
RA = Black Angus
SS = ??
AN = ??

Just seeing if I got the acronyms right. No clue about the last two though....

SS is Shorthorn
AN is Angus, I guess I used it in place of BA a few times....

Some awesome cows and calves. My picks are the #32 goggle-eyed heifer, then the #107 heifer, then the #165 steer. All great range cattle with frame and muscle. Good job putting together genetics!
