Has anybody used the Epps biting fly trap?Or made one?

Seen the article in 'Coutryside' may/june 10 and it sounds really good.
Of course it's $300! But it looks like it would be simple to construct one close to it , need a few details or look at one closer though.
They say it will kill 1 lb of biting flies,Deer and Horseflies too! That would be great. They drown after hitting a clear panel and falling into water with a little dish detergent.
Thanks,Chris

My neighbor bought one and was so happy with it that he made a similar one.

I went over to see it and was impressed with the number of horseflies dead in the water.

I'd like to have one for here.

I bought one and it really works well. Doesn't work on horn flies as they they don't fly around the animal.

Like the instructions say, you need one for every 20 acres of pasture and you need to put something around it (cattle panels or electric fencing) or the cattle try to use it as a scratching post.

I see they have a new portable model.
