What to feed heifer at 10 months

Okay, our Jersey heifer is 10 months now, and she is on a lot of pasture. What feed should she be getting at this age? We are still feeding 16% calf right now.

What is a lot of pasture? 24 hour grazing?

All my cattle are pasture grazed and by 10 months old all they are getting is grass. If she is on good grass all the time, wean her off the calf meal and let her get on with feeding herself. If she has been wormed, and on good grass she should be able to manage very well for herself.

24 hour grazing, yes. It isn't lush - but there is enough.

Grass, water, and free choice loose minerals should be all she needs at this point. A little grain now and then to keep her gentle won't hurt.
