Something is wrong, plz help

I have a 3 month old bull calf, about 150 lbs that is losing weight, just weaned, has been eating grain.
This morning he is weak, uncordinated, acting kinda crazy. He won't take a bottle, pail or food and keeps running into the briars and fence. His mouth inside is cold to the touch and he can't seem to stand for long, really wobbly.
Vet can't get here until late today. Already gave him 3ml of penicillian and 3 ml of dex.

It sounds like a Thiamine deficiency. Does he seem blind? If that is the problem, you must get injectible thiamine (part of the B vitamin complex), into him without delay, or the neurological damage will be irreversible.ck

Running into things and uncoordinated. Still sounds like thiamine prob. to me. Will progress to violent spasms and death. Sufficient thiamine sometimes acts like miracle cure, if not given too late.
Please let us know what the vet finds out.ck

nical Findings:
Acute lead poisoning is more common in young animals. The prominent clinical signs are associated with the GI and nervous systems. In cattle, signs that appear within 24-48 hr of exposure include ataxia, blindness, salivation, spastic twitching of eyelids, jaw champing, bruxism, muscle tremors, and convulsions.

Could it be lead?
