Frost free waterers

I am about to turn my cows out into my new rental pasture. The pasture has frost-free four hole watering stations fed by underground pipes. I'm very excited about the new place but don't know if it will be an issue for my cows to convert from water tanks to the new waterers. Do I have to do some kind of training or will they just figure out how to push down the balls to get to the water?

Most of these waters you can push the balls down and off to one side or the other and they should lock out of the way when training cows to them. Good luck, hope it helps, Thanks Marc.

It is simple to remove the balls from the waterers. If the cattle have a problem adjusting to the change just temporarily remove the balls.

Cattle have keen noses and can smell water. They'll find the water and figure it out.

New cattle here figure out the waterer quickly.
