maricle

long story short, my nieces bought some bred cows from the sale not long ago. 6 total. one first time cow came down with pneumonia couple weeks ago & was taken to the vet. the vet (who had dealt with cows for years) said there was a slim chance the cow would make it and even LESS for a successful or live birth. well Friday/Saturday with a little pull from us, the cow had a healthy (so far) ALIVE bull calf. who knew. its day by day with the calf just to make sure nothing developed but he seems just great..nursing & walking with mom.

for her being a first time cow, she is very attentive to the baby & seems to be much better. she didn't even object to them messing with her some when they had to pull the baby.
