Thinking of getting a Dexter Heifer!

We're new to hobby farming, but are thinking of getting a 10 month old Dexter heifer this weekend. The lady says she is about 300 lbs or so and 34 in. - is that normal for the age?
She wants 400 for her - is that a good price? I guess she is mostly halter broke and fairly friendly and gentle. We're wanting to either breed her, milk her, or use her for meat (prob. not that)!
We have 1 cow now that will be off to get processed soon.

Any thoughts? And any thoughts on AI or getting a bull in the future?
Thanks so much!

I saw that on craigslist.. she looks like a good cow! where in KS are you? there are a few dexter bulls in the area, and if you want to go with a mini jersey bull eventually, I'll have one after Saturday

We've got 4 Dexter cows/heifers and we love them!
