Little A2 Dexter bull for sale, VA

Edan of Paradise is a black horned Dexter bull calf, very small and homozygous for A2 beta casein in milk. He's short legged, not at risk for PHA. He carries dun.

He's the son of Brenn of Paradise and the grandson of Windridge Nollaig (Noelly), both great bulls. He has the same gentle temperament.

His granddam is Windridge Bantrybeth (Beth), with an outstanding udder and teats.

Edan will make a great herdsire. His registration is awaiting the processing of his parentage verification, which has already been done.

Here's a link to his album on photobucket. Be sure to see his profile and check out his feet and legs. I'm sorry I don't have any pictures that show his true size. I'll try to add some that show how small he is.

If you're looking to improve any trait in your herd, Edan can help. He is from a line of bulls that throw small calves that grow up to stay small. They have great feet and legs, straight level backs, deep briskets, large scrotums, level tailsets. Add A2 beta casein to that and you have quite a package. This is no ordinary bull, but he is priced very attractively.

I've set a price of $750 for Edan. He's a great little bull and can add a lot to your herd. Remember, the bull is half your herd. Don't settle for just any bull.

Nice looking bull Gene!

We've purchased cows from Gene before and his animals are very healthy and come from good stock.

Plus you won't find a nicer or more knowledgeable person when it comes to Dexters

Hey, Georgiarebel!

Thanks for the kind words.

I just exchanged emails with the man who owns Peate Ann. I tried to buy her back, but he said, "No way!" She's his favorite and his wife's favorite, too.

For those reading this, Georgiarebel bought my bull's mother and half sister. He sold me back a heifer calf that tested to be A2/A2. I sold that calf, then regretted it.

Funny thing is, that's the second time the same thing happened. Georgiarebel emailed me about buying her back just as I sold her, then I tried to buy her back. There are two people missing her, but two more that are really happy to have her.

I was being brutal in paring down my breeding stock and Peate was about 2" taller than I wanted her to be. I was trying to breed them smaller and smaller. Peate is just about perfect in every other respect. It isn't the first mistake I've ever made, and it probably won't be the last one, either.

Here's Peate Ann:

She sure turned out pretty! The dun heifers don't hang around the farm long. We've got 3 short leg dun heifers that are probably the most docile we've owned. Easy to manage too. You can see them on our webpage under "our herd"

We've got a black and dun bull for sale too. About 5 of our mamas should be calving anytime

Edan of Paradise looks a little taller than his dad. Always remember Brenn of Paradise being the stocky little fellow.

Yall get our Christmas card? Hope all is well

Edan is a little boy. He's almost a carbon copy of his daddy, in every way.

We got the Christmas card. Nice picture of the family. All good lookers. We'd be doing great if it just wasn't so cold!

Oh, well. At least it isn't muddy.
