I would start her on a dose of 10 cc of penicillin. LA200 has some good uses, butgenerally its good for foot root or pink eye. Also if you can give her some form of sulfa, such as Sustain3 or even Bactrum. The bactrum you can get it from a vet. Its sulfamephazine tablets.

Heed Bob's advice, he raises dozens of calves per year. Just like to add that I've seen the jello poop several times and to my knowledge none of the calves ended up sick...Being a beginner I'd be "proactive" and consider the above advice...Topside

One last thing to know. If you bought the calves at a sale barn expect problems around days 3-5 of ownership. That's usually when illnesses develop from stress and germs. From then on the owner will usually overfed the calf and cause a new set of problems. Have a routine and don't overfeed, in fact I underfeed for the first three weeks. Scours can ruin everyone's day....Topside

LOL,
Don't remind me Topside. Been a slow fall. Things are going to pick up in about a month.
You can roughly consider the age of the Eaton's calf by figuring its was off a farm or sale barn. Roughly 3 days old at that time, puts it being about 6 to 7 days now. Its about the time they will scour a bit. If it had low or no colostrum they hardly make it past 3 days.

We lost her tonight but whats crazy is she seemed to be getting better she finished 3/4 of a bottle this morning and when I went out to feed she had died. I started these calves with 3cc of la200 when i got them home the day of the sale and electrolites for the first feeding that night then mr only 3/4 bottle the first 7 days so far.
