Heifer calves

I posted the following back in April. The heifer calved yesterday! The heifer was in training to go through the commercial milking operation when I bought her. She is rather tame but has never been milked. Once her calf is weaned, I have no need of her. I do think she would make someone a good milk cow. Is anyone in the western NC area interested?

What to do with this heifer

This was here back in April. My cell phone with camera has broken but I will get a pic in a few days.
The calf looks like momma, just lighter in color but with the same markings..

I'm pretty near Statesville. How much are you asking for her? I've been looking for one, and she's a very pretty girl. Do you think she could foster calves? Send a p.m. if you would rather.

I just want a fair market value and I do not know what that amount would be. I do plan on weaning the calf she has and keeping it. She should get bred back to my Murray Grey bull soon. I am trying to do some advance planning. She can stay here all Winter as I have plenty of forage and she is doing good on grass alone. I have no idea how she will do now that she is giving milk. As for her becoming a nurse cow I think it would work out. Her calf gets a lot of attention from her. At this time she stays near the calf rather than eat with the herd. She is friendly and with a few treats could be taught to get in your pocket. : )

Here are the pics of the cow and calf. The calf is a male. You can see she has a nice udder and teats.
