Opinion...When to wean?

Opinions needed Please.....We have 2 red Dexter heifers, born in first week on June. We would like to sell before winter. When is the best time to wean these two? I am thinking middle of October?

Hey, can you tell me about them? I've been searching the internet for months trying to find someone in Ohio with young Dexter heifers for sale. Tell me all about them, please (p.m. is fine).

Most (beef) calves are left on mama until they are 6-8 months old. You can wean younger, but younger calves need better quality feed to reach their potential.
