Taming the Moo

I asked for input on taming our 3 month old Jersey heifer a few weeks back and, of course, received great advice.

This girl was WAY easier to tame than last year's bull calf. I separated her from her Mom and kept her in a stall. I tied her to the side with a few feet of rope and let her battle that for a bit. In one day, I could lead her anywhere with a rope halter. She would occasionally try to take off but that only happened a time or two.

She is now completely tame. She still wants to be with her Mom and got away once, accomplishing this and getting a bad tummy as a result.

Anyway, just wanted you to all know how tame and sweet this heifer is now.

Now, if we could just think of a suitable name for her.....

She needs a floral name to go after Violet.

Unless Violet is named after the color...?

I cannot believe you haven't named her yet.

LOL!! Well, I was asking about the heifer.....but I wouldn't want you to think I was indifferent to your state of health, CJB.
