Nice "little guy" is right! What's his age? If he's a short leg is he tested for bulldog gene?

He is a short legged Dexter, eight months old, tested to carry the chondro gene. He shouldn't be used to breed other short legged Dexters. He comes from a long line of Dexters in which PHA has never been found. His test results for A2 beta casein haven't come back yet.

He's a real sweetheart. He loves to have his back scratched. He's a crowd pleaser, too. Visitors see him and go, "Aaawww!" Everybody wants to hug him.

He has longer hair than most Dexters and it's all curly and soft. Except for the stripe down his back, which is short and shiny. That's where he likes to be scratched.

He's just developing his 'bull bellow'. I just had a cow in heat and Mahoney tried his bellow out. He would paw the earth and give out his beginner's version, which came out as, "Moooaw!" He's working on it.

He's a looker. If the hair on his forehead is as curly as it looks in the pictures, he will make a fine herd bull.

To clarify the curly hair comment. You can read about good genetic traits here

I've heard that Gearld Fry speaks about curls indicating temperament. I can't find the subject on his web site. Could you tell me where it is?

Mahoney is certainly friendly. Here's a close-up of his facial curls:

Little Mahoney is still for sale. He's visiting 2 dairy cows to freshen them right now.

He's already been tested for all you have to test a Dexter bull for. He's a pure dun, E/E and d/d. Plus he has an A2 beta casein test pending. The results are due in any day now.

I'm reducing his price to $600 to get money to buy another breeding heifer. I'll deal with you on a trade for a nice heifer.

You won't find many breeding bulls smaller than Mahoney. He's well configured, in perfect health, and ready to begin breeding his own herd.

By the way, that's his mother just to my left in the first three pictures.
