Flooring for new barn

New guy so please excuse the ignorance.

Finishing 48x36 barn.

Intended use is a couple of dexters and handful of goats.

Lots of great advice in homesteading forum on layout but I have read alot of contradictory things on flooring. We can afford to do what we need to do but don't want to be fancy.

Right now there is construction gravel.
What would you do?

Thanks in advance!

The ultimate flooring in a barn is in horse barns for race horses. You may want to research those for ideas. I would not try to duplicate those for cattle and goats. Depending on how absorbing the soils are I would just use a coarse sand, the deeper the sand the better. Do not use the small crushed rocks as they can get between the cattles' toes and create foot problems.
