??about a bull

We bought a 3 yr old black angus bull about 3 mths back. He is a really good looking bull, the guy we bought him off of said he had been with about 20 head of heifers. Well we have had only one cow so far come into heat but she has been in twice with him here. What could make a bull go sterile?
Should I give him more time? The cow that has cycled has never given us any problems before she has been one of our best to have babies. This bull has been wonderful never walked the fence, never been out, never does anything just minds his own business. What would some of you do? I really would like to keep him but we HAVE TO HAVE a bull.

You should take him to your local vet for a semen test, they can tell you real quick if he's fertile or not. May be that your cow has a cyst or something like that, they can check on that easily, then you will know which one of them has the "problem". If it's the bull, you might be able to go back to the seller with the problem and get your money back.

I am confused. You said you have had bull for three months, but you have only had one cow come into heat.

I have no idea how many you have, but each cow if open, will come into heat about every 28 days.

Is the bull with the cow(s) all the time or only when you detect heat?

Cows cycle every 21 days...

Are the cows calving and coming in to their first heats? If so that would explain why there has only been one cow in heat. Also, sometimes a cow doesn't stick on her first heat after she starts cycling again.
