What to do with this heifer

My neighbor has tried to AI this heifer twice without success as determined by a vet. She is a cross between a Jersey and a Holstein and she is 20 months old. The neighbor was anxious to get rid of the heifer and I bought her. Since the neighbors pasture adjoins mine I felt there was little risk of introducing problems so I added her to my herd. My thoughts were to run her with the beef cattle and to process her for the freezer in the Fall. Should my bull manage to impregnate her it should be obvious before slaughter that she is expecting. She seems too nice not to be someones milk cow provided she does catch. Your thoughts please.

Wow thats a nice heifer. To me she looks to fat. If she is coming into heat, which apparently she has since she has been ai'd before I think you will have a nice calf out of her. Ought to be a real nice calf out of your murray gray bull. Yes she would be great freezer beef or someone will be owning themselves a great pair. I would find out her last ai date and see if the bull settles her on the next heat. Wish I lived closer, I would be talking to you about purchasing her if she settles.

Pic didn't come through. Would love to see her, might be interested in purchasing if you're interested in selling, once I get a look at her, that is. Do you know if she was a freemartin?

Is it just me or does she look pregnant already? It's just the way that her belly is hanging that makes her look like it.

She's a nice heifer....she's got quite a bit of condition on her for a jerseyX, though it almost looks its because she looks a bit pregnant (though she probably isn't). I wouldn't use her as a milk cow because with her in that condition (BCS of ~4 by Canadian standards) she'd probably not produce enough milk since I can already see some fat build up just before her udder in the pic. I'd keep her for the freezer.
