Meet Ribeye

This is Ribeye. I got him today. He is my very first calf ever. I'll bottle feeding him goat milk (which I have lots of). He'll only be in this pen for a few days, while I make sure he's healty. I'm pretty sure he is as he came from a reputable dairy, but I alway quarantine all my animals. He is 3 days old, and seems to be a decent size. I gave him a bottle this evening and he took it very well. He is destined to live his name, as I plan on taking him to slaughter when he's about 18 months old.

It's been raining alot, so he's pretty muddy. He also has alot of iodine on him. I guess they thought that his whole belly needed iodine, not just his umbilicus.
