well I just agreed to buy a highland bull

any fans out there.being this is a homesteading site and I do not plan to sale to the sale barns i see no negatives. I have loved the highland cattle every since I was In the highlands of Scotland. in this down economy I am getting a great deal imho. I went to pick up two sheep today at the farm that he was at, he was quite the bull and sad that he was not given the attention he thought he deserved. I think he will be a great addition to this this homesteading farm.

Contgratulations on your bull, what kind of cows do you have ? Did you get him to introduce the Highland blood, or do you aleady have Highlands? Either way, they are very cool looking cattle.

he is not registered. I'm gonna get him some highland cows to keep him occupied. I figured i did fairly well the folks selling him have been running a petting zoo. they need to cut back on critters and were only asking $5oo. he is 4 years old and a proven breeder. I'm looking forward to getting him here.
