Fly/Tick Repellents

We could really use some advice on fly/tick repellents. We have several bred cows due to calve anytime now, one cow with calf, and a few year-old heifers. We're trying to keep things as natural as possible, but fighting the bugs is a battle.

I've got a pretty natural good fly repellent called No-Fly by Crystal Creek, but since I bought the water-based instead of the oil-based it doesn't have much staying power...it does work for the time it's on them, though.

Yesterday I removed a tick from one heifer, so I'm beginning to think I may need to forego the natural route and bring in the heavy-duty products like Ivermectin.

Any advice out there? We really want to stay 'natural' but not at the sacrifice of their health from flies and ticks.

Thanks!!
