little cows

Hello homesteaders, I know we have not been on the site for some time. We will be traveling the first of April from Western Kentucky through west Missouri. We are willing to tranport livestock if you want to give us a call. Also we have two zebu cows bred to our miniature hereford bull with 6 to 8 month old bull calves. We will make someone a great deal with the bred cows and their bull calves. Just give us a call at 270-508-0512.

You need to check with your local vet to see if you need a special permit to carry cattle across a state line.

Thank you

Thank you for your concern. We move cattle frequently and are familiar with the laws in many states besides those in Missouri and Kentucky.

Do you have pics? I am just curious about the mini zebus since I saw your post in the Barter forum and had not heard of them. What can you tell me about the zebus? Tempermant? Size, weight? Calving? Climate, Shelter, Fencing, Feeding? Acreage needed per cow? Dairy or meat? I was leaning toward dairy goats because of size but thought the zebus looked interesting. Thanks.

LamiPub,
Think "miniature brahman" and that will give you a pretty good idea of appearance. While I know that many here use beefers for family milk cows, I'm not sure a non-milk miniature breed would be a good choice for a family cow IMHO.
