Cow in labour...?

My 3 y/o dexter has been in labour for 2 hours, water broke hour and a h alf ago- lots of pushing but nothing.
When should I worry? Looks like the vet is out of town, will have to handle it if there is a problem. thanks!

I would be worried now. By this time you should at least see feet and a head if the presentation is correct. If its a malpresentation, the longer you wait to fix it, the weaker the cow will get and the harder it will be to deliver the calf. Time to scrub up and check things out.

I agree, scrub in and get in there. Lube up good. If nothing else, hand sanitizer works pretty well as a lube. You may have a big one stuck at the pelvis or a malpresentation.
