worming cows

I hope someone can answer this question for me please... can I worm my bred cow and if so what wormer is safe? Thanks in advance, Gina

I use cydectin or ivermectin, pour on, and have never had a problem. I worm them all in the early spring, so most of the cows are bred then.

I suggest on year #1 you use a pour on, and year #2 an injection.

The coverage will overlap to a large degree, but each has its pluses.

Bred or not, no problem

When you vaccinate, it DOES MATTER what you use if they are bred. Your vet will know who needs what.
