Pastures greening!

Nice day here for checking the pasture forages. I was pleasantly surprised to see that both the grass and the legumes are making an effort to come out of dormancy. I have been encouraging vetch to get a foothold and found this this afternoon. The pic isn't very good but if you look closely you can see the vetch breaking through the grass and thatch.

I'm envious! We just got another foot of snow here in northern NH last night and right now its 2 below zero. It will be a while before we see anything like your picture here!

I've been seeing some green for the past week. I think it has contributed to my "cabin fever" this past week. I'm anxious to get out and get started on the gardens.

We have snow here. Lots and lots and lots of snow. I'm tired of snow.

Can't even spread manure on the hay fields here. 30 SE of Buffalo and the tractor axles push snow if you get off the beaten path.

Oh how I wish it would rain here in Central Texas. We are beyond dry and the forecast looks like more of the same until at least April...sigh

Hi Timberweed Where are you in NH? I'm in Franklin.
Weatherman is saying we may be in for another storm on Tuesday.
