Make sure you have the new ones lined up. At the top of the inflation, and at the bottom there will be two marks. Usually a raised part on the rubber.
The two marks need to be in line with each other. If they are not lined up, they will have a shorter life, and do a poor job of milking.
Once they are lined up, they will not stay that way, you will need to check them time to time.
