Tiny little Dexter calf

This is a video of my newest Dexter calf. He is so small. He's 1 week old, and the calf next to him at the start of the video is a normal sized Dexter calf, 3 weeks old.

I just came back from visiting the people who bought Dexter/Shorthorn crosses from me in 2007. They bought my bull's son, the smallest bull I had, plus my bull's half-sister, the smallest cow I had. These two produced a bull calf last Thanksgiving that is smaller than the bull calf in the video, and it's 7 weeks old!

They are tiny when they are born! We had dexters a couple years ago and one of our girls had a bull calf. That little bugger could get out of everything! He was so small he could go under the fence and between the wires. My dh said it was a good thing he was so adorable because he was quite the pain in the booty!! Your little boy is adorable!
