Is Winter oats okay to feed?

I sowed a half-acre plot of forged oats for a deer food plot. Now that deer season is over they are still thriving. I thrased two packed two five-gallon buckets of oat fodder and fed it to my steer, who is going to be butchered in about a week. He is getting grain, hay, and water now, too. The leaves are lush green and he is absolutely going bonker over them. Is this okay to feed as supplemental feed?

TIA,
