well here's a new one, got to treat my cow for lice. Every time I milk her the lice get in my hair. yuck Every time you think you get this homesteading thing figured out ......... something else. YUCK

since your milking and drinking the milk I hope ...... be sure to use something without a milk withdraw like epernex or decomatis dirt

Use Cydectin. Labeled for dariy cattle in lactation. It will get the lice and all the little nastys in teh cow. Also we use this due to teh fact its about teh only product out there to kill tail head mange. Mange will kill a animal just like any other parisite. Cydectin is not to bad of price. But, contact your vet and you might beable to get a dose fro your cow. Retreat again if a sever case, inside of a month.
By the way since the human body temp is less then a cow. The lice will not live on you very long. But, in the mean time they will drive you completely nuts.

Thanks for the info, I was going to try and run something down but the vet is better I can get a single dose that way.

Thanks Bob you were right my vet said Cydectin was excellent. I'm going to pick up a dose now. Thanks again.
