Donkeys & Cows ?

Around my area I see alot of folks with donkeys in with their cows is there a reason for this ?

donkeys are used to keep predators out of the pasture. Some donkeys are not tolerant of cattle however. Before leaving a donkey with cattle one needs to know the donkeys are accustomed to cattle.

They work really good. I adopted one from the BLM for that very reason. He watches the cows and makes sure anything having more than two legs stays out of the pasture.

Generally speaking, no miniatures and no intact males for guardians. Here are some websites to read up on using donkeys as livestock guardians:
