how much for weanling dairy cross

We are looking at getting a jersey cross with beef????? weanling hefier. She will not be top lines. No real milk history of mother. I will be buying her from a friend. If we decide to get her she will be just weaned. Dh wants cow milk also not just goat milk. What should we pay for her.
Friend and i have not talked prices. This is their first cow/calf pair and were thinking on just butchering the calf for meat. Any advice would be great.

Around here, the beef/dairy crosses sale at beef prices at the sale barn as long as they're not showing the traditional dairy characteristics and they're black colered.
If one has been hand raised and can be handled by a homesteader as a future milk cow, it will bring more money.
For a weinling calf of this description the price would be around $250-350. (That is, if she weighs between 250-350lbs.)
