New pictures of the calf

and a link to a video... I just love the way new calves 'run'.

Also, we weighed her today... got on scale and weighed, then got back on with the calf in arms... she was 54 lbs!!! Do you suppose she gained already, just from yesterday?

She has mom nearly empty in one quarter... Im going to have to relieve the pressure on the other three though... but she's not too happy with me for that.

You'll need to make sure she can even get milk from the other teats. She may not have been able to get them unplugged. I would do it ASAP.

Spray a little something on the favored teat to discourage the calf from that quarter. I'd use a product called "ick" I think. It's to keep dogs from chewing whatever...spray it on, may last a day or so....good luck and once again nice calf.
