Smile any natural fly repelent for family diary cow?

We have a jersey cow who we hand milk and drink and we wanted to know if anyone has read about or tried any home remedy fly repelent that would not effect the milk we drink.
Thanks any info greatly appreciated.

Try the green spray for dogs, in walmart. It's seargent's natural defense. It will kill flies too. I use it on my goats when I'm milking if the flies are bothering them and making them stomp.

Also, there is a fly spray for horses that works well. It's a silver bottle with a green leaf, it says it has "pyganic".

Pure Vanilla Extract works well for us on our milk cows and it also prevents knats from attacking while milking. I just saturate a rag and rub their back down in the morning and again in the evening if needed. (WORD of WARNING!) Don't rub it on the cow's rear flank on the side that you'll likely be leaning your head into while milking. If you do, you'll end up with a brownish color dyed forehead for a couple of days! LOL
