How much COB per day is ok?

My dexters are new here so I'd like to get them used to me and the grain can. Is there an amount per day not to exceed? Maybe I should be offering something else as treats?
Thanks!

I give my Dexters about 1 cup a day of grain that has been sweetened with molasses. They will start milling around the barnyard in the morning to get their little bowl full. Or if I come in the barn early they will come running to see what I have. They actually will do this anytime of the day hoping for a treat and just being nosey. I also give them, once in awhile, day old bread from a local outlet store.

I follow the old rule of 1lb of grain/COB per 3lb milk produced.

Patty.
