Swimming pools for cattle

Howdy
Just wanted to share an idea with ya'll. I bought one of those cheap ($11) plastic kiddie pools as a temporary water trough for one of my cattle pastures. Well, the cattle love standing in it to keep cool on hot days, and so far the pool has withstood very well. Unfortunately only one cow at a time per pool, but I'm thinking of buying a couple more since they love it so much.

hee, hee. You could put those waterwings on them and maybe serve them margaritas, poolside. It doesn't seem like a kiddie pool would last too long though. Mine never even withstand a season with 'kiddies' using them....

Around here the cattle look more like hippos to me, standing in the ponds w/ only their ears and nostrils above the waterlevel. Keeps 'em cool and keeps the bugs off too.

Buy two pools and keep them nested together. One is too thin and will soon crack. I've had the same two pools for two years now, and the previous two also lasted two years.
