What type of grass part 2 (pic)

This is a good looking colorful grass, seems to favor partial sun and it grows in clusters. To the left is Orchard grass, the one I'm curious about has the reddish looking seed tops. The animals are eating it, and idea what it is?

Oh, that stuff grows all around here. I don't know it's name but is fine for the animals to eat. I believe it is from their droppings, something in the grain that is a seed.

It's called Yorkshire Fog. Very palatable to stock at this stage of growth but as it matures they often stop eating it. I like to see it in hay.

Cheers,
Ronnie

Ronney, thanks that's the grass all right, it's an odd color green and the colored seed tops really are an eye catcher....John

YORKSHIRE FOG Holcus lanatus. Common throughout the forest, showing the typical pink inflorescence before flowering, and the grey-green leaves and stems. Flowering May-July.

In my part of the state, It's a weed...When the field gets high, and hasn't been grazed, it just sits there, usually just fertilizer and bush hogging will remove it like sage grass
