highland cattle costs

There are some highland cattle for sale near me that look appealing to me. They are listed at $675 for a cow with a bull calf at her side. I'm new to all this though, so I want to make sure I'm not being taken Does this seem pretty reasonable/going rate? Thanks!

That would be a fair price for an unregistered cow or for an older cow. Figure the calf value at about $1 per pound live weight.
