Economics of raising Beef

What does it cost to buy and raise a meat breed steer from calf to butchering? How much do they eat a day?

Thanks,

Ed.

A ton a year per average meat breed, so far as cost it varies right now is a GREAT time to buy a steer but dont limit yourself to just beef steer you can usually get a dairy steer for very little $. say $10-20.
