Auto Milker for a Dexter

What auto milker would be best to use on a Dexter? Also how much do they run usually?

We will only have 2 - 4 cows. So we wont need anything to heavy duty.

Thanks

I think it would be a waste of money and time to buy a milker for two or three Dexters. It takes me about 5-8 minutes to milk out my cow. It would take longer than that to assemble, disassemlble and wash a milker. Besides that, even the used ones are expensive.

My husband has carpal tunnel in both hands, so we got a milking machine for goats a few years ago, and use it for our Dexters also. We got it from Caprine Supply, the Farm model. The collection bucket holds about 2.5 gal. It has worked well for us, and saved a lot of sore wrists and hands. It was about $1000, and well worth it.

We bought our milker from "The Parts Department" and have never looked back. Herself washes the equipment and would be the one to complain if it were a tedious task, but she is quite content with things as they are.
