Violet and calf (pic)
I broke the cardinal rule and, after having asked and received all sorts of input on the birthing of this calf - I never posted a picture!! Travesty!
Here's a nice pic of my cow, Violet and her baby boy lying in our field. He is such a pretty bullock and Mr. Personality to boot. He has been spoken for and will be moving out as soon as I return from this business trip.

Beautifull cow, and what a pretty boy she had. Thanks for the picture,

No he's a "registerable" Jersey. He is a beauty. Her last calf (grafted) was much less handsome and had no personality. This one ducks under the wire fence and hangs around the house like a dog. When I come home, he is typically stretched out on the front lawn, watching the driveway.

I'll send you Violet, MT. I swear she would mother another species. She was handed her last calf and she adopted him immediately - no hesitation.

No way, my friend. You're going to come here and get her with your truck and trailer. You can stay a few days, we'll feed you, give you your own room and maybe even introduce you to our nice single female friends.
Make a vacation of it - Oregon is beautiful.

Friend, if I wasn't tied to home here this summer, I'd be over there. I'd love to haul that cow back, but I'd throw you some cash for it. It's nice to know I can come visit were it's free room and board and you don't have to pay for girls either, LOL! If your still sticking it out over there next summer, you may see me show up for a visit, thad be great!
