not yet, but she is blowing up fast. Im spanding all my time in the woods tapping trees, but my dad is watching her closely. I expect her to freshen very soon. IM thinking...mabey within a week or two.
I am swamped with getting ready for maple season. I want to get some pictires, but Im awfulle busy right now. I will, at the very least, get you some pictures of the calf, and libby after she freshens.

I am gonna hold ya to that, Max!
Between maple syrup and Libby-Belle, you're in about the same shape a friend of mine's going to be in a few months from now. He's a strawberry farmer up in TC ... his wife is expecting their first baby ... in JUNE!

My dad just called me at my shop. Libby just had her calf. He said she is cleaning the calf vigerously.

Oh Max, I am so excited!!!!
I think my husband thought I'd lost my mind when I came running down the hallway shrieking, "Libby had her calf! Libby had her calf!!!"
So, is it a bull or a heifer??? It looks pretty big, so I'm guessing a bull, but I hope I'm wrong. LOL
Looks like it was the Limousin bull, not the Angus, who did the job, judging from the color.
I am sure she will make a very good mother, 'cause her momma was ... I used to joke that she had to be the cleanest calf in the world, because Dawnna was ALWAYS washing her!
How much milk are you getting? And how easy is she to hand-milk? I know those Jerseys sometimes have really short teats. Dawnna's were longer in front, so I always left the back two for the calf. LOL
Looks like she has a pretty nice bag. She's not a very big cow, I hope she gives milk enough for the family, AND for that whopping big calf!
I will be so happy to see more pics of the little bugger!!!!

I havent checked the sex yet. Libby gave 4 gallons of colostrum yesterday.
Libby acted like a wild animal while she was out with dads beef cows. I was sure we were never going to be able to handle her, but she has calmed down since she freshened so much I am amazed. She barley even moves her legs while we milk her. Her bag is so full of adema that her teats are pretty hard to get ahold of, but Im sure that wil change as the adema goes away.
