pacing cow...sign of heat?

Cow had her calf in July, has been with the bull since then. I just noticed today that she has been pacing back and forth all over the available pasture. The bull, her bull calf, and 3 of last summers heifer calves have been following her. I have not seen any of them try to mount any of the others. Is the pacing a sign of heat? With a calf in July, I'd hope she would have been bred back in September.

The only way pacing would be a sign of heat is if there were no cows with her, and she'd be trying to find a way to get out and find a mate. If the bull is right there with her, I don't think she's pacing because she's in heat.

Thanks Donna, any idea what else would cause the pacing? I just switched from silage bales to dry hay, but none of the other cows seem to be having any issues.
