325lb steer

is $1.00/lb a good price to pay for a 325lb steer angus/hereford?

Depends if your buying the steer or selling the steer.

I think thats a pretty good price, I'd probably give around 300 for that size steer, but your cattle prices might be different than ours

In Kentucky this week, feeder steers were going anywhere from $1.05-1.40/lb. so that seems like a good price.

In my part of the country (Kansas) that is a very good price (if you are buyer). Here a beef calf that size would be closer to $1.30 per hundred.
