Jersey Milk Cow

13 yr. old Jersey milk cow. Very gentle, not bred, has not been with a bull. Last calf born 7/07, weaned in Jan. 08. Has 2 good quarters. Stopped milking her last week. Located in panhandle of Texas. Marlene

How much are you asking for her? any chance she could be bred or penned with a bull until pick up?

I am asking $250 for her. I do not have access to a bull so I cannot have her bred. Marlene

Hi,

I have a few questions about your cow, I PM'd you. How well did she deliver her last calf? How much milk were you able to get from her?

Darby Family...if you're interested in a Jersey there is an Amish family near Yoder/Hutchinson where I got several calves and a cull cow that was giving 4 gal/day last fall. They might have something available - last I checked they had one more cull, in better condition than mine, for sale. This cow has been absolutely perfect in her role here as a nurse cow...unfortunately she doesn't speak people - that's her only downfall - she absolutely does not do a thing I want her to do. lol Not inclined to follow the grain bucket, not inclined to follow the other cow, haven't halter broke her so she goes where she wants to go on her terms or I have to literally get out and bully her where I want her to go using her built in steering wheel sometimes referred to as a tail. If you'd be interested I could get you a number.

No, not heard of the Borntragers. I'd seen where you were looking at a dexter but saw another post where that apparently fell through and then saw this one so I thought I'd offer.

Have you contacted Emily (Ozark Jewels)? She'd probably be able to help you find one there in MO. I can definitely PM you the information if you want it, though.

When we transported a bull we just needed a health certificate signed by our Vet.
