Must be time for bull calves

Hey, just wanted to post that my jersey had her calf this morning. I found them in the pasture this morning and bull () calf still had some cord left. Sugar was doing fine and was glad to have some hay to munch on.

She let me come right up to her and mess with her as she has always let me in the past year, but I know that the real test will come when I milk her.

I have a funeral to attend this pm and when I get home I intend to let the "fun" begin.

I was for a while a1cowmilker but I was able to finally get my password to go back to artransplant, which -trust me - is a much more appropriate name for me.

we have had more bull calves than usual this year, but still less than half, and usually we have almost all girls so I suppose we are due....sad when you have to buy a bull calf to raise for beef, but not this year...
